I started BATHEIA out of a deeply personal struggle. Since my teenage years, I’ve battled persistent acne.

Like many, I thought it would fade with age. Yet even as an adult, breakouts never fully left me. What made it worse was that most products I found were designed for teenagers: harsh, stripping, and targeted only at oily skin. But adult skin is more complex. It can be breakout-prone and dehydrated, reactive, or already showing early signs of ageing.

Through years of trial and error, I realised that adult acne is not the same as teenage acne. Adult skin is influenced by hormones, stress, diet, and lifestyle. It requires balanced formulas that clear while strengthening the skin barrier, actives that are effective yet gentle, and rituals that restore rather than punish.

That’s why I created BATHEIA. A brand born for adults who want more than just quick fixes, they want results that respect the skin’s long-term health. Our products combine science-backed actives such as salicylic acid, niacinamide, and ceramides with the calming, restorative power of East Asian botanicals I grew up with in Taiwan. Living in the UK has also shaped my love for understated elegance: packaging that feels modern and refined, textures that turn everyday skincare into a moment of calm.
